Weldable Webbing |

The new generation of
wide-format banners and vinyl
signs are beautiful, impressive, entertaining, and powerful tools of
communication. Be sure they stay where you put them...
Heavier Signs and Banners: In severe weather, exposed banners should be taken down. But even in normal conditions, an outdoor sign or banner must be strong enough to withstand wind and structural forces: Mesh is an inherently weaker fabric and needs more edge structure. Solid vinyl is a heavier material but is still not strong enough to support the loads carried by a single layer or folded-edge grommet. Cutting "smiles" in fabric only reduces windage by 10%. In cases when reinforcement is needed, PVC coated weldable webbing offers superior strength and increased design flexibility. More info. Light-Use, Long-Lifespan Signs and Banners: For signs and banners that will be folded, rolled, stored, and hung again many times, weldable webbing is more durable than a doubled-over edge. A definite sales point to add value to your product and better serve your customers. More info. Light-Use, Short-Lifespan Signs and Banners: Save the trouble of sewing. Trim to edge on the rear of the banner. (No need to fold webbing or printed material.) Simply weld 1" or 2" vinyl-coated webbing across the top and bottom of your sign or banner. To prevent curling of the ends, weld a strip down each end as well. Gives a better hem for grommet hold. Some shops charge up to $2 per foot for "premium edging" which is a great markup on a material that costs pennies per yard. More info. |
